About the $50 Gold Eagles

The $50 Gold Eagle coins are one of America’s most iconic and desirable bullion coins. Produced by the United States Mint since 1986, the Gold Eagle coins have become a staple in the precious metals industry.

The obverse side of each coin features the Augustus Saint-Gaudens’ beautiful rendition of Lady Liberty with a flowing torch, olive branch, and sunlit rays in the background. Inscriptions on the front of the coin include “LIBERTY,” the year of issue, and IN GOD WE TRUST. The reverse side of the coin bears a representation of a male Bald Eagle carrying an olive branch as it flies above a nest containing a female eagle and her hatchlings.
