La moneda 1992 10 Pesos, hecha de bimetallic: nickel brass centre in aluminium-bronze ring (core: 65% copper, 10% nickel, 25% zinc - ring: 92% copper, 6% aluminium, 2% nickel) y con un peso de 10.33 gramos. Con un diámetro de 28 mm, y un grosor de 2.3 mm y con un canto reeded.
El anverso es the national arms of mexico (an eagle on cactus facing left with a snake in beak above wreath), with the inscription forming a semicircle above. Reza "ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS". El reverso es in the center there is the circle of the aztec sun stone representing tonatiuh with the fire mask. in the peripheral ring at top center the value; to the left the mint year, and to the right the mark of the mint of mexico "mo"; at the bottom, the face value in words. on most coins the inverted "l' shape ornament along the rim. see comments for details.
