The 1894 Queen Victoria Penny coin, engraved by William Wyon, and made of copper. Weighing 18.9 grams, with a diameter of 34 mm, and a thickness of 3 mm, and featuring a plain edge.
The obverse is first uncrowned bust ('young head') of queen victoria left, legend around, date below. It reads "VICTORIA DEI GRATIA 1841". The reverse is seated figure of britannia facing right, trident in left hand and shield bearing the union flag in right, legend around and national flower emblems in exergue. It reads "BRITANNIAR: REG FID: DEF:".
