The 2009 Silver Maple Leafs coin, struck at the Royal Canadian Mint mint, engraved by Susan Taylor, and made of silver (.9999). Weighing 31.11 grams, with a diameter of 38 mm, and a thickness of 3 mm, and featuring a serrated edge.
The obverse is head of queen elizabeth ii, as at 77 years of age, bare headed, wearing necklace and earrings, facing right. It reads "ELIZABETH II 5 DOLLARS 2021". The reverse is classic maple leaf design, encircled by lettering with small maple leaf security feature below. with the number last two digits of the year engraved in the security feature, representing the year.
