The obverse is bust of king george v, wearing a crown, facing left. . It reads "GEORGIVS V DEI GRA: REX ET IND:IMP:". The reverse is the face value above the date is surrounded by the inscription "canada" and flanked by two maple leaves. It reads "CANADA ONE CENT 1923".
