2000 Proof 5 Pesos

The 2000 Proof 5 Pesos coin, made of bimetallic: aluminium-bronze centre in stainless steel ring, and weighing 7.07 grams. With a diameter of 25.5 mm, and a thickness of 2.03 mm, and featuring a plain edge.

The obverse is the national emblem/shield of mexico in sculpted relief--a mexican golden eagle perched on a prickly pear cactus devouring a snake above a half-wreath of oak and laurel below, and the legend forming the upper semicircle. It reads "ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS". The reverse is in the center of the coin to the left, the symbol "$", and to the right, the face value, five "5"; top center, the mint year; to the right of the center, the mark of the mint of mexico “mo” as the key motif, a stylized image of the ring of the serpents of the aztec sun stone. It reads "2019 $5 Mo".
