The 1935 Estados Unidos Type 1 1 Cent coin, made of bronze, and weighing 3 grams. With a diameter of 19.5 mm, and a thickness of 1.4 mm, and featuring a plain edge.
The obverse is the phrase "estados unidos mexicanos" on the top of the coin around the rim above an older version of the mexican coat of arms (a mexican golden eagle standing on a prickly pear cactus devouring a rattlesnake). at the base of the cactus, there is a holm oak (encina) branch on one side and a laurel branch on the other. It reads "ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS". The reverse is the year at the top and the denomination over the cent symbol in the center surrounded by a wreath and the mintmark below. It reads "1948 1¢ Mo".
