In addition to the Liberty figure, the obverse of Seated Liberty Dimes also includes the inscription “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” surrounded by thirteen stars.

The reverse of the Seated Liberty Dime displays an agricultural wreath made up of corn, wheat, and cotton, which was meant to represent the importance of agriculture in America. This wreath is surrounded by the inscriptions “ONE DIME”, “1837”, and “10 C.” The 1837 version of the Seated Liberty Dime is the most collectible of the bunch due to it being the first year of issue.
