About the Silver

The 1934 Daniel Boone Bicentennial Silver coin, has a total mintage of 10,007, struck at the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania mint, and engraved by Charles Edward Barber. Made of silver (.900), weighing 6.25 grams, with a diameter of 24.3 mm, and a thickness of 1.75 mm, and featuring a reeded edge.

The obverse is left facing portrait of queen isabella of spain. It reads “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA 1893”. The reverse is the reverse design represents women’s industry with a depiction of a female holding a distaff and spindle. It reads “BOARD OF LADY MANAGERS COLUMBIAN QUAR.DOLั.”.
