The 1906 Proof King Edward VII Sovereign coin, engraved by George William de Saulles, and made of gold (.9167). Weighing 7.99 grams, with a diameter of 22 mm, and a thickness of 1.5 mm, and featuring a reeded edge.

The obverse is uncrowned portrait of king edward vii right, legend around. It reads "EDWARDVS VII D:G: BRITT: OMN: REX F:D: IND: IMP:". The reverse is st. george slaying the dragon right, date and designer's initials in exergue. note: mintmark varieties exist (see below). It reads "1910 B.P.".
