The 1937 King George VI Half Penny coin, engraved by Edgar Bertram MacKennal, and made of bronze. Weighing 5.67 grams, with a diameter of 25.5 mm, and a thickness of 1.7 mm, and featuring a plain edge.
The obverse is uncrowned portrait of king george v facing left, legend around. It reads "GEORGIVS V DEI GRA:BRITT:OMN:REX FID:DEF:IND:IMP". The reverse is seated figure of britannia right, trident in left hand, shield bearing the union flag in right, denomination around, date in exergue, sea behind. It reads "HALF PENNY 1933".
