The 1904 King Edward VII Penny coin, engraved by George William de Saulles, and made of bronze. Weighing 9.45 grams, with a diameter of 30.8 mm, and a thickness of 1.6 mm, and featuring a plain edge.
The obverse is uncrowned portrait of king edward vii right, legend around. It reads "EDWARDVS VII DEI GRA: BRITT: OMN: REX FID: DEF: IND: IMP:". The reverse is seated figure of britannia right, with trident in left hand and shield bearing the union flag in right, sea behind, denomination above and date in exergue. It reads "ONE PENNY 1902".
