The obverse is the national emblem of mexico (a mexican golden eagle perched on a prickly pear cactus devouring a snake above a half-wreath of oak and laurel below and the legend forming the upper semicircle). It reads “ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS”. The reverse is monogram-called design, with a big face value and other details at left, date and the mintmark. It reads “1985 $5”.
