The 1984 Estados Unidos Type 2 20 Pesos coin, made of copper-nickel (75% copper, 25% nickel), and weighing 15.2 grams. With a diameter of 32.06 mm, and a thickness of 2.44 mm, and featuring a smooth with inscription edge.
The obverse is "estados unidos mexicanos" in a semicircle over the mexican coat of arms (a mexican golden eagle standing on a prickly pear cactus devouring a rattlesnake and a holm oak (encino) branch on one side and a laurel branch on the other at the base of the cactus). It reads “ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS”. The reverse is jugador de pelota (a maya ball player inside a circle). denomination to the left, year and mintmark at the bottom. It reads “CULTURA MAYA $20 1981 Mo”.
