The 1983 Estados Unidos Type 6 20 Cents coin, made of copper-nickel (75% copper, 25% nickel), and weighing 3 grams. With a diameter of 20 mm, and a thickness of 1.36 mm, and featuring a milled (in pairs) edge.
The obverse is "estados unidos mexicanos" in a semicircle over the mexican coat of arms: a mexican golden eagle standing on a prickly pear cactus devouring a rattlesnake. at the base of the cactus, there is a holm oak (encino) branch on one side and a laurel branch on the other. It reads “ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS”. The reverse is value, portrait of francisco indalecio madero to the right. It reads “Mo 20c. 1977”.
