The 1946 Estados Unidos Type 3 10 Cents coin, made of copper-nickel (80% copper, 20% nickel), and weighing 5.5 grams. With a diameter of 23.5 mm, and a thickness of 1.75 mm, and featuring a plain edge.

The obverse is the mexican coat of arms (a mexican golden eagle facing left perched on a prickly pear cactus devouring a rattlesnake, and a holm oak (encina) branch on one side and a laurel branch on the other at the base). It reads “ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS”. The reverse is the outer circles of the mexica, or aztec/sun stone, with the year, the mintmark (m), and the denomination in the center. It reads “1937 M 10 CENTAVOS”.
